Students not majoring in Marketing often find that there are several combinations of marketing electives that fit their interests well. Popular combinations of electives include: the New Product Development one-half credit course combined with the Advertising Management or the Pricing Policy one-half credit courses (to complete one credit unit), the Marketing Research course, and the Marketing Strategy course.
Students who are non-MBA candidates, who wish to take one of the Marketing Department courses, can do so only if there is room in the course after the MBA Course Match has been completed and with written permission from the course instructor (if he or she believes that the course is appropriate for the student). Students must complete the Registration Authorization Request for Non-MBA Candidates form, obtain the appropriate faculty member’s signature, and deliver it to the MBA Program Office in Suite 300 of Jon M. Huntsman Hall. The form is posted on the MBA Program Office website: https://mba-inside.wharton.upenn.edu/resources-forms/. The deadline to submit this form is by the last day that MBA students are permitted to enroll in said course. The schedule that shows the final enrollment dates is posted on the MBA Program Office academic calendar webpage. Please note that for popular courses, there may be no seats available. You will be notified by the MBA Program office if you have been granted a seat.
